The Campus Assistance Team (CAT) is a resource for the entire campus community that helps to identify students who are at risk and make referrals to appropriate services, thus increasing student's feelings of connectedness to the community. Students who feel connected to their community are more likely to have a successful college experience. The Campus Assistance Team (CAT) is an interdisciplinary group of ECSU professionals who work collaboratively to identify individual students in need and help facilitate their connection to the appropriate resource. We hope this web site will help those with concerns about Eastern students connect with the campus resource that could best address their problems. The purpose of CAT is to be a primary campus resource for students, faculty and staff so that "at risk" students can be identified and referred to available services. Eveyone at Eastern can help us reach our goal. If you know students who demonstrate any of the behaviors of concern, or who you feel are experiencing problems, refer them to any member of the intervention team. With this information, the Campus Assistance Team (CAT) will work collaboratively to address their problems and concerns. |
