SUOAF and the AAUP are co-sponsoring a legislative breakfast on Wednesday March 3, 2010 in Hurley Hall, President's Dining Room to give our members an opportunity to meet with their local legislators to discuss issues of concern with them about the budget and other matters related to Eastern and CSUS.
The breakfast begins at 8 a.m. in Hurley Hall. Please drop Local President Jim LoMonaco an e-mail (lomonaco@easternct.edu) letting him know if you will be able to attend in order that we are able to provide a count of attendees to the Dining Service. The Breakfast should break up around 9 a.m. so we expect you'll have no issues with getting on to your office and your day in good order.
Given the critical nature of the budget crisis and the ongoing recession it's important to remind legislators of the importance of Eastern and CSUS to Connecticut's future. It's our chance to tell our story to those who make the financial decisions in Hartford. Attached are some talking points for to assist you. Also attached is a CSU Fact Sheet.
