Due to National Weather Service projections for the path and intensity of Hurricane Sandy, and the prediction for strong winds, heavy rains and potential flooding, Eastern Connecticut State University will be closed Monday, Oct. 29 and Tuesday, Oct. 30. All classes are cancelled, offices are closed, and normal operations are suspended. Only essential personnel should report to work.
Resident students who are safely able to return home and want to do so are encouraged to do so today, Sunday, October 28, before the storm reaches the Willimantic area. Food service will be available for students who plan to stay on campus. The Sports Center and Student Center will be open, but the Webb computer lab and the Library will be closed. Shuttle service is also not available.
