Willimantic, Conn. - In response to the tragic earthquake in Turkey on Oct. 23, Eastern Connecticut State University's Turkish American Student Association is hosting a dinner to raise money for relief funds. The fundraiser will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 1 in the Betty R. Tipton Room located in the Student Center. The public is invited. Admission is free.
A free dinner will be provided and the option to donate towards the relief fund will be made available to those attending the event. The Turkish American Student Association is designed to promote better understanding and friendship among Turkish and American students, communities and organizations. The organization provides accurate information on Turkish history and culture. The Turkish Club is requesting that persons interested in attending the dinner to raise money for earthquake victims to RSVP by Nov. 29.
