Classic Brass to Perform with International Tuba Virtuoso

Willimantic, Conn. - Eastern Connecticut State University's Performing Arts Department will present a Classic Brass concert with Oystein Baadsvik, international tuba virtuoso, at 2 p.m. on Nov. 6 in Shafer Auditorium, located on the corner of Windham and Valley Streets. The public is invited. Admission is free.

Music Director Adam Crowe will conduct the performance. Accompanied by Classic Brass, Baadsvik will perform Monti's "Czardas," Baadsvik and Giske's "Fnugg Blue," Morricone's "Gabriel's Oboe" and Arban's "Variations on The Carnival of Venice." Classic Brass will also perform Bach's "Arioso," Williams' "Henry the Fifth Overture," Allan's "Knight Templar March," Borodin's "Polovtsian Dances" and Lovatt-Cooper's "Walking with Heroes."
