Tyler spent his summer putting together a business plan for the dispatch center at the Willimantic Police Department.  He worked together with his supervisors and retired police officers to create the business plan to help other towns and municipalities who might need their services.  He also helped strategize how to market the business plan to towns that are looking for such a service. 

Tyler stated that this co-op relates to his career goals by learning about how to develop a business plan.  Tyler hopes to someday own his own business and in order to do this and attract investors this hands-on learning opportunity will be very useful.

Tyler's advice to fellow students is to find an internship that best fits the field of study you are in and that focuses on your area of concentration, not just your major.  "It is a great way to prepare for the real world."
