#EasternBlackOut Day Spring 2018 Calendar | 6th Day of Each Month
12 p.m. | Student Center, Arthur L. Johnson Unity Wing, Rm. 115
#EasternBlackOut Day occurs every 6th of the month and was created to jumpstart dialogues among Eastern students about the ongoing tragedy of police brutality against black bodies in America. During the program, which happens monthly, students, faculty and staff are invited to dress in all black to create a powerful visual that mourns the oppression of black and African Americans who have died unjustly at the hands of law enforcement. We take a group photo and then have an informal lunch to talk about social issues impacting the lives of people of color today.
