Mission Statement

The University Honors Program complements the University's liberal arts mission by (a) offering academically talented students an avenue to demonstrate excellence in competencies characteristic of liberally educated students, (b) directly contributing to the enrichment of Eastern's academic climate, and (c) providing standards, curricula and learning approaches that could serve as model educational practices at the University. The Program's requirements and curriculum are intended to be intellectually challenging, while cultivating awareness and attributes that prepare graduates to become dedicated leaders in their respective communities, exhibiting the highest standards of ethical and intellectual integrity.
