Cost and Eligibility
Who can use the Student Health Service?
The Student Health Service is open to all students — full time, part time and graduate. Both resident and commuter students are welcome. You do NOT need to carry the University-sponsored insurance plan to be seen at the Student Health Service. We will also see those part time or graduate students who do not have any health insurance.
What is the charge for services?
There is no charge for visits with the physician, nurse practitioners, or nurses. However, we do charge small fees for prescribed medications, injections, some diagnostic testing, and women’s gynecological exams. We have some types of birth control available at a very reasonable cost. We do not bill insurance companies directly for any of our services. Currently, HIV testing is offered free of charge year round in our office.
