-How to Accept or Decline Your Financial Aid-

Once you have been awarded financial aid, student employment, or veteran’s benefits you may accept or decline the offer by the following steps listed below.
To accept or decline your awards:

1. Go to Eastern’s eWeb website: http://eweb.easternct.edu, and Click on Login.

2. Enter your Eastern ID# and your PIN# and click Login. If you do not know what your pin number is call the ECSU Help Desk for assistance at (860) 465-4346.

3. Click on Student Services.

4. Click on Financial Aid.

5. Click on FERPA Authorization.

6. Accept or Rescind the FERPA questions and then click Submit.

7. Click Return to Financial Aid Menu.

8. Click on Title IV Authorization, Read Page 1 of the Eastern Connecticut State University Policies & Procedures and click Continue.

9. Read Page 2 of the Eastern Connecticut State University Policies & Procedures.

10. Under Options, Authorize or Rescind the 2 statements and then click Submit.

11. Click on Proceed to View Award Information.

12. Select the current Aid Year-Award Year and click Submit.

13. Grants, Scholarships, Parent Plus and Alternative Loans are automatically ACCEPTED. If you are offered a Federal Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loan, Federal Perkins Loan, or Work Study, you must select: Accept, Decline, Decide Later(if funds are still available), or Accept Partial Amount. Then click Submit Decision.

13. Click Return to Menu and select Student Requirements to see if any paperwork is still requested. Students accepting Federal Stafford loan for the first time are required to complete a Stafford Loan Entrance Interview Form and a Lender Selection Form. These forms can be found on the main Financial Aid website in the Forms/Downloads section.

14. Once you have completed the previous steps; click Exit so that you can log off of your eWeb Online Services account.

Check E-web after around 2 weeks to make sure your Financial Aid pays to your account (Stafford loans will pay to your account starting the week before classes start). If it hasn't paid to your account please e-mail us to check and make sure you have completed all requirements: financialaid@easternct.edu
