At the request of the Governor’s Complete Count Committee, which is coordinating Connecticut’s effort in the 2010 U.S. Census, students at Central and Eastern Connecticut State Universities have produced videos to encourage Connecticut residents to respond to the census, which will take place nationwide beginning in March.
The video public service announcements (PSAs) will be telecast by broadcasters in Connecticut and appear on various websites related to the U.S. Census in the state. The PSAs were shown for the first time Tuesday (Jan. 26) at a regional conference for municipal leaders and the public on the importance of the census, which highlighted local outreach efforts. It was held at the State Legislative Office Building and sponsored by the Governor’s Complete Count Committee.
