CRIME ADVISORY; March 3, 2012

The Willimantic Police Department is actively investigating the following incident:

On March 3, 2012, the Willimantic Police Department responded to a robbery complaint which occurred on Tingley Street in Willimantic.  The robbery occurred at approximately 4:55 am.  The victim reports that he was followed to his vehicle and approached by two black males who pushed him up against his car and took his wallet.  The victim was able to push the attackers away and flee to the Willimantic Police Department.

 

The victim described the attackers as two black males: one male wearing a black jacket and the other male wearing a green jacket with fur on the hood. Both males described as 6 feet tall with slender builds; no older than 30 years of age.

 

Any person(s) who witnessed the incident or have information leading to the identity of the suspects are asked to contact the Willimantic Police Department at 860-465-3135 or the University Police Department at 860-465-5310 or the Confidential Hotline at 860-465-0242 or fill out the confidential form on our web page at http://www.easternct.edu/police/ and click on Campus Safety and then Anonymous Crime Reporting.
