Below are photos of Bus Stop Galleries, an Art 226, Public Art and the Community class
project, in which students created site-specific images for Eastern's
bus shelters. Their goal was to enliven the university's landscape and
unite north and south campus with a visual "map"of the campus for
students and visitors.
The images were created in Adobe Illustrator and sent electronically to
be printed on low-tack vinyl, a non-destructive, removable material
that adheres by clinging to the shelter's glass surface.
The images are secured with a plexiglass shield, designed and created by Eastern's Facilites department
Bus Stop Galleries was made possible by the support of an AAUP Faculty Development Grant. |
