• Michigan State University’s Committee for a Sustainable Campus seeks to educate the MSU community about its environmental impact, conserve natural resources for future generations, and establish MSU as working for creating a sustainable community. One area the Committee focuses on is energy conservation. Among other programs, the Committee developed an ENERGY STAR® Back-to-School Checklist that promotes energy smart shopping among students. Chief among these programs are the “Ecolympics,” in which residence halls compete to be the most energy efficient.
