• EPA's Sector Strategies Program seeks industry-wide environmental gains through innovative actions taken with a number of manufacturing and service sectors. The Sector Strategies point-of-contact is working with College and University Sector Partners to develop sector-specific approaches to assist in advancing the use of environmental management systems, reduce regulatory performance barriers, and measure environmental progress.
• CT DEP Education & Outreach site contains the DEP’s calendar of events, classes, environmental education center, newsletters and magazines, other resources, and special events.
• The ISE has an Education site that contains information about the types of sustainable energy and ideas for incorporating the study of renewable energy into the curriculum.
• The Environmental Literacy Council is dedicated to helping citizens, especially young people, participate wisely in the environmental arena. An independent, non-profit organization, the Council gives teachers the tools to help students develop environmental literacy: a fundamental understanding of the systems of the world, both living and non-living, along with the analytical skills needed to weigh scientific evidence and policy choices. This site provides information on every environmental issue, as well as resources for educators.
