2.70 Cumulative GPA
· Completed application form &

· Two letters of recommendation
Costs
If you choose an exchange-based study abroad
program, you will pay normal tuition, fees, insurance and in some cases
your accommodation charges to ECSU. Other programs may require payment
of tuition, fees, and/or housing directly to the University abroad.
Meal plans are not common at campuses overseas,
but residence hall accommodations are often equipped with kitchens
shared by several students. Otherwise, meals are
available at a University cafeteria on a pay-as-you go basis.
Arrangements for air transportation are the
responsibility for each student. In all cases, the Study Abroad Coordinator
can provide cost information for your specific program.
Financial Aid
Most forms of financial
aid can be continued while studying
abroad since your student status
is maintained. Plus, studying abroad may make you eligible for certain
low-interest student loans. If you are planning to apply for
any form of financial aid, you must do so several months in advance
of your program start date.
Academic Credit
All courses taken abroad
on an Eastern program can be treated exactly as
ECSU coursework and will apply towards graduation requirements as
major, minor and general education credits.
All students should
meet with the Study Abroad Coordinator to
discuss the academic system at their chosen University
overseas. Your Academic Advisor can advise
you further on your specific degree requirements
and approve the credit transfer for your planned studies - before you even
study abroad!
