Crime Alert 05/06/2008

The Eastern Connecticut State University Police are actively investigating the following incident:

On Monday May 5, 2008 at approximately 9:20 pm, a student reported being robbed by a male on the sidewalk of the Windham street side of Burr Hall near the blue emergency phone. The victim reports that a handgun was shown by the suspect. The victim’s wallet, cell phone, ipod and book bag were taken. The victim was alone when the incident occurred. The victim described the suspect as the following:

An African American Male approximately 6 ft tall. His hair was braided cornrow style. He was wearing a black doo rag on his head and a grey hooded sweatshirt.

Crime Alert 10/09/2007

The Eastern Connecticut State University Police are actively investigating the following incident:

On Monday October 8, 2007 at 11:24 pm, a student reported being robbed in front of the Sports Center (Stairway area- Eastern Road side). No weapons were used. The suspect was with three other subjects during the incident. The victim was alone when the incident occurred. The victim’s cell phone was taken. After the incident, all of the subjects ran in the direction of Windham Tech High School Soccer field and Basketball courts across from the Sports Center. The victim described the suspect as the following:

A black male wearing jeans, a black hoody with no logo and a baseball cap.

The three other subjects were described as the following: two black males who were wearing jeans and a black hoody with no logo and a heavy set white female with blonde hair wearing a black hoody with no logo and jeans.

Crime Alert 09/25/2007

The Eastern Connecticut State University Police are actively investigating the following incident:

On Sunday September 23, 2007 at approximately 2:00 a.m., a student reported being robbed by four males in the Shafer Parking Lot. The victim’s wallet and baseball cap were taken. The victim was alone when the incident occurred. The victim was not injured. The victim described the suspects as the following:

A Hispanic male approximately 18 years old, 5’10”, slender build with short brown hair and clean shaven wearing a baggy red t-shirt with baggy blue jeans.
A white male approximately 18 years old, 6’0”, “kind of muscular, kind of husky” with possibly dirty blonde or brown hair (covered by a ball cap). He was wearing a white baggy polo type shirt, a blue Yankees ball cap with the white insignia, and baggy blue jeans
The victim described the other two suspects as one white and one Hispanic, smaller than the other two, but approximately the same age.
