Director of Counseling and Psychological Services
Eastern Connecticut State University, a Public Liberal Arts University, is searching for a Director of Counseling and Psychological Services.
Under the direction of the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Director leads, organizes, develops, administers, and evaluates confidential counseling and psychological services for the student body.
Duties include but are not limited to: Supervising Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) staff from various clinical orientations and training backgrounds who provide developmental, psycho-educational and outreach/preventative counseling services to students; coordinating and supervising personal counseling services for individuals and groups; and providing leadership to CAPS staff in the development of programming designed to meet student needs. Further the Director is responsible for intake evaluations, counseling/therapy (individual and or group) and referrals to outside professionals.
Qualifications: A doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field; with Connecticut Licensure or eligibility for Connecticut Licensure. Extensive experience in a college/university environment strongly preferred. Direct experience providing clinical supervision to diverse staff including interns and practicum students, individual and group counseling. Demonstrated experience and ability to supervise, direct, plan, manage and administer a counseling program. Proven effectiveness working with a diverse community of students, faculty/staff and familiarity with current issues in college mental health. Demonstrated strengths in interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills essential as are organizational ability, initiative, and flexibility.

Capital Project Coordinator
Eastern Connecticut State University is searching for a Capital Project Coordinator.
Responsibilities include programming, budgeting, designing, and documenting in house construction and capital improvement projects. Additionally the Capital Projects Coordinator will assist the Associate Director for Design and Engineering and the Director of Facilities with project management, review and oversight for consultant design project. The successful candidate should have experience with equipment planning for large projects.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering
Current registration as either a professional Architect or a professional Engineer
Minimum of four years experience
Demonstrated competence in AutoCAD production and management
Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal building codes including ADA

Child and Family Development Resource Center
Infant-Toddler Teachers
The Child and Family Development Resource Center (Center) at Eastern Connecticut State University is seeking talented infant-toddler teachers (two positions) for employment. This is a full-year, full-time leadership position in a community-based campus child care program at Eastern. The successful candidate will support the mission of the Center to provide best teaching practices to meet the needs of children and families in the community and demonstrate effective communication and teamwork across constituencies. The incumbent will also collaborate with faculty and staff at Eastern Connecticut State University for professional development opportunities. The Center is housed in a state-of-the-art facility, providing an outstanding working environment. The program will serve 90 children from infancy to five years of age. Additionally, the Center will provide service to candidates enrolled in the early childhood teacher preparation program at Eastern, as well as providing for the professional development needs of those individuals working in the early care and education field in Connecticut.
Successful candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in child development or related field. Master’s degree in early childhood education or related field preferred. Fluency in Spanish preferred. Relevant experiences working with infants/toddlers required; experience with NAEYC accreditation and working with children and families in diverse communities preferred.

Manager, Center for Instructional Technology
Responsibilities: The Center for Instructional Technology (CIT) division is within the Information Technology Services (ITS) department. CIT provides primary academic and instructional computing support for the University. The manager’s responsibilities include coordinating and managing the configuration of all academic computing facilities under the jurisdiction of ITS; acting as a liaison between ITS, the faculty and students, managing technology training; assisting in web design; managing and maintaining student portal and providing analysis and recommendation for technology solutions.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent with at least five years of experience supporting instructional technology within an educational environment. Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communications skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MAC OS and Linux operating systems, hardware and software installation, application support and desktop image management. Demonstrate ability to supervise staff. Budgeting experience is a plus. Working knowledge of several of the following is also required: Microsoft Product Suite, Blackboard/Vista, Alteris, multimedia systems, Adobe, Contribute, web programming portal technology such as Luminis. A Master’s Degree in a related discipline is a plus. These qualifications may be waived for individuals with appropriate alternate experience.
