Liberal Arts Core Curriculum Course Submissions

Applications to approve courses for the Liberal Arts Curriculum (LAC) can now be made to the Liberal Arts Program and Curriculum Committees.

Departments will submit new course proposals or course modifications employing the appropriate Curriculum Committee forms (on-line and downloadable forms are available at: http://www.easternct.edu/depts/curric_cmte/index.html).

Course proposals for LAC credit must indicate how the course fulfills the objectives of a specific section of the LAC. Departments may submit a narrative description or may voluntarily submit LAC forms available at: http://www.easternct.edu/depts/lapc/LACforms.htm).

If the new or modified course may also fulfill a current General Education Requirement (GER) category, please indicate in your course application your request to have the course reviewed to be included in the GER.

Major programs may request that a course within their discipline or area of study be substituted for a Liberal Arts Core Curriculum (LAC) category requirement. Up to two LAC categories, not including the Liberal Arts Colloquium (LAP130) or Tier III category, may be satisfied. The course substitution form is available at: http://www.easternct.edu/depts/lapc/LACforms.htm.
