The General Purpose Computer Lab is an open, general-purpose computer lab where Eastern students can
complete assignments using state of the art technology. This lab is the largest
computer based facility on campus. Lab Staff consisting
of Steve Nelson, University Assistants,
and Student Workers are responsible for keeping the lab in operation.
- Steve Nelson oversees
the lab's operation and provides support for the instructional
classrooms during normal business hours.
- Student Workers assist
in the operation of the computer lab by operating the printers, answering
questions, and reporting problems during lab hours.
- Part-time University assistants also help oversee
lab operations and assist users.

Lab
Policies |
All students are required
to sign in and out when entering or leaving WH410 by using
the special card reader or keypad located just inside the
entrance to the lab.

You may sign-in either by swiping your Student
ID Card through the card reader or by typing your Student
ID number using the keypad. This sign-in and sign-out procedure
is strictly enforced.
Additionally, all lab patrons should adhere
to the following regulations while in the General Purpose
Computer Lab.
- Never bring any food or drinks in the computer lab.
- Never share your password with anyone for any reason!
If you suspect that your password has been compromised,
change it immediately or contact the lab staff.
- Please remember to avoid any unnecessary conversation
and noise while using the lab. Be considerate of your
fellow students.
- Additionally, you should be familiar with CSU and
ECSU policies governing the use of computers on campus.

- Per Connecticut state law, CSU and ECSU computer policies,
pornographic material may not be viewed, printed or distributed
within this lab. Games are also prohibited.

| In the WH410 General Purpose Computer Lab, there are
stations designated as Wheelchair Accessible. These computers
are reserved for students and staff who may require them.
Please be considerate of others and do not use these computers
unless you need them. If you require any additional assistance
or special accommodations, please consult any member of the
