History at Eastern Connecticut State University

History Honors

     History participates in the University Honors Program. Students who are accepted into the program, either as incoming freshman or later on the recommendation of faculty, are designated University Honors Students when they graduate.  A year-long senior honors thesis, minimum grade point averge, and completion of several Honors courses are required. 

     History honors students complete a thesis on a historical topic of their choice under the direction of one of the History faculty. Most  History faculty have taught Honors Program courses or directed  honors theses.
