CHILD AND FAMILY DEVELOPMENT RESOURCE CENTER
The Child and Family Development
Resource Center was completed in the Summer of 2005. This 40,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility houses the Early Childhood Education Department (two-story brick portion to the left) and a Child Day Care Center (1-1/2 story remaining portion). As seen in the photo above, the facility incorporates a balance of design elements to create an aesthetically pleasing facility for learning.
CHILD DAY CARE CENTER
The Child Day Care Center has five activity rooms for pre-schoolers, and separate areas for infants and toddlers. These rooms are complete with individual bathrooms, sinks, and storage rooms. They are also equipped with state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment.

ACTIVITY ROOM
In the center of the activity rooms is the Great Room. The room is furnished with small stage, lighting, and a movie screen. The Great Room will be used as common area to gather the children for activities and entertainment.

Also housed within the center will be a resource library, kitchen, and offices for the Department of Children and Family and Social Services. The Market Place, which contains a beautiful faux tree, serves as a gateway to these resources.

MARKET PLACE
The center is also equipped with a wonderful playground facility. Special mulch, sand, and synthetic surfacing have been installed to provide adequate fall protection around play elements.
CLASSROOM WING
The classroom wing houses the Early Childhood Education faculty. This wing provides three classrooms that possess computer labs within them. This wing will also house a distance learning center that will contain the latest technology available.
