Experiences for Future Connecticut Teachers (Project EFFECT)
a Connecticut State Department of Education funded project
             

Capitol Region Education Council & Eastern Connecticut State University invite you to participate in the following projects focusing on state-wide experiences for Connecticut's future teachers and featuring educational technologies.   

1) Future Teachers/Young Educators Society Conference – scheduled for Tuesday, March 22, 2005, 8:30 am – 2 pm, Eastern Connecticut State University
Join future teachers from YES Clubs in middle schools and high schools and their advisors in a day of discussion and workshops to further prepare Connecticut’s next generation of teachers.

2) Fourth Annual Institute for Future Teachers Using Technology – scheduled for Sunday evening, June 26–Friday afternoon, July 1, 2005, Eastern Connecticut State University
High school student who are planning to become future teachers will participate in an undergraduate seminar, earning college credit, on educational technology applications – including advanced workshops in video production, webpage design, computer graphics, and writing for media.  A scholarship covering tuition, university residential hall accommodations, and meal plan will be offered.  

4) Ninth Annual Summer Institute for Future Teachers – Tuesday, July 5–Friday afternoon, July 22, 2005, Eastern Connecticut State University
During the three weeks of SIFT, you will reside on Eastern's campus, complete EDU 101 - Teaching in the 21st Century, develop lesson and unit plans, participate in field experiences and field trips, and earn three undergraduate credits.  A scholarship covering tuition, university residential hall accommodations, and meal plan will be offered.
