The ASEER Center is a NASA Regional Educator Resource Center.  Our mission from NASA is to provide educators with free and low-cost curriculum materials.  The center is located at Eastern Connecticut State University on the first floor of the new Library.   The center is open by appointment and several times each week.

The mission of MERLOT, Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching, is to improve the effectiveness
of teaching and learning by expanding the quantity and quality of peer-reviewed online learning materials that can be easily
incorporated into faculty designed courses.  With over 3,700 sites sorted by subject, over 2,000 in science and technology,

The National Science Teachers Association homepage - an essential site for science teachers, containing searchable links to
information on science teacher conventions, publications, news/info, online resources, grant competitions, and professional
development opportunities. Includes links to online journals - Journal of College Science Teaching, The Science Teacher,
Science Scope, and Science and Children; recommended websites for all of the sciences; online resources - starting with an
interactive periodic table; reviews of the latest science education media; full text of the National Science Education Standards
and student activities and micro-units connected to these standards; and links to other science and professional organizations.

8) EPA - Kids, Students, & Teachers http://www.epa.gov/epahome/students.htm
The EPA's educational homepage has links to the Explorers' Club (ages 5-12), the EPA Student Center, and the Environmental Education Center (for teachers).  The Explorers' Club has links to art and science activities and games and information on plants and animals, recycling, and the environment.  The EPA Student Center has links to support class and environmental club
projects.   The teacher resources include curriculum activities and ideas for community service projects.

9) The JASON Project  http://www.jasonproject.org/
This website chronicles actual explorations by teams of scientists into volcanoes, the international space station, marine
ecosystems, rainforests, geology, and many other topics. Seven of the 12 JASON expeditions are archived with narratives,
explanations of  data collection, and photos.  The latter expeditions are also correlated with CT Science Content Standards.
For an additional fee, a class may interact online, via videoconferences, and from regional centers, CT's The Maritime
Aquarium at Norwalk and the Mystic Aquarium, with the real-time explorations.

is a gateway to science-related museums around the world, specifically targeting children 8-15 to stimulate their interest in
science.

Welcome! Guilford is on the east shore of Connecticut. Our current school enrollment is about 1230. We have 56 AP Bio students in three sections, and use the Internet often for research, study helps and on-line activities. Campbell's Biology is our text. Our students take AP Bio in grade 11, after having taken Physics in grade 9 and Chemistry in grade 10.
