My Family
First
of all, I live here in Connecticut with my husband and two of my three
daughters. They are all grown up now and two of them are at a local
university. I also live with my cat, Mischief. His nickname
is Misch and as you can tell by his name, he can find trouble anywhere!
Here's a picture of Misch:

Misch is a persian. For those cat lovers (like me) or those who simply want to learn more about Persian cats, click onto the following site:

What
I did on my summer vacation
Now that my daughters are grown, my husband and I have begun to travel
a bit. This summer we flew to Minnesota. It was my first plane
trip! What a beautiful state! It has over 15,000 lakes!
We
spent a couple of days here in Duluth with an old friend.
Duluth is on Lake Superior, which is one of the Great Lakes.
Then we drove to the Minneapolis. We had a great time at the Mall
of America.

My Early Years
My
first 18 or so years were spent growing up in a small town in the Pine
Tree State. Maine lies claim to a big part of my heart. I visit
family there several times a year. To learn more about this beautiful
state, peruse these interesting sites:

My Life.......
Today
Besides my family, school is a very big part
of my life. I am a graduate student, so I have homework just like
you! I love learning! I hope you do too.
I really love teaching. It's a great deal more work than I thought
it would be, but it's far more rewarding than I had ever imagined.
I've been involved in something called looping over the past four years.
I just finished working with the same class for their third and fourth
grades.
My Hobbies
My
hobbies include reading, gardening, bird watching, and being with my family.
Science and history are my favorite subjects.
This summer I have been reading from the Harry Potter series. Check
out the interview with J. K. Rowling about the Harry Potter collection.

My favorite type of reading is historical fiction. Jean Fritz is one of my favorite children's authors.

Each year my students participate in learning about gardening and actually work in our class colonial herb garden. It's a work in progress. Here are some sites that you may enjoy.
