My favorite sport is basketball. I played basketball for four years in high school and two years in college. Since then I have been coaching on and off. I coached a high school girls varsity basketball team for one year; and for the last three years, I have been coaching the team that my daughter plays on in school.
I also like to play softball. I played softball in high school for four
years. Almost every summer since I have been twelve years old, I have played
softball on organized teams as well. For the past ten years, I have been
playing slow pitch softball for the Womens Softball Association of Greater
Willimantic (WSAGW). For the first time in the history of my softball carreer,
the team that I played on won the season championship as well as the play-off
championship this year. We are #1!
Another pasttime of mine is karate. I have only been learning karate
for the last three years. I am an apprentice black belt in Tang Soo Doo.
Karate is an excellent way to keep in shape while learning self defense.
My husband and three children know karate as well. My husband who is a
third degree black belt teaches it. My older two children are first degree
black belts and my youngest child who is only eight years old is a green
belt. It is a family affair.
