Jeanelle Bland, Ph.D.

I am a first year Assistant Professor teaching science education courses here at  Eastern Connecticut State University.  I moved from Tuscaloosa, AL, where I was a researcher for two years in the College of Engineering, Department of Aerospace Engineering, at the University of Alabama. I graduated from The University of Alabama in 1999 with a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and Science Education.   Prior to my doctoral work, I taught high school chemistry, physical science, and physics at Luverne High School in Luverne, AL.

The courses I teach here at ECSU are: Science in the Elementary School (EDU 537), Trends and Issues: Science (EDU 542), Educational Research (EDU 508), Principles and Practices of Teaching Biology & Environmental Earth Science (EDU 460).
