Online seminar designed to aid participants in the integration of educational technology in their educational settings and in graduate coursework.  Participants are expected to have access to a computer workstation with a WWW connection, email, and other common applications.

Seminar Objective:   Participants will be able to measure their own growth in the application of technology in their educational settings.

General Policies

In this seminar, participation and sharing are valued. Participants are encouraged to discuss the possible substitution of any of the class projects for activities that might be more relevant to their educational setting.

Evaluation:

Participants will be evaluated by

1) their participation in threaded discussions (20 points),

2) an introductory email message (5) and introductory survey of their uses of computers in the classroom as well as a colleague's applications (10);

3) completion of an online software form for 5 software packages (10 points);

4) four contributions to the seminar's webliography with annotated journal citations (20 points);

5) 2 lesson plans on the integration of software in the classroom (10 points);

6) completion of an electronic textbook (20 points); and

7) a culminating email message (5) and a project of synthesis (20 points).

Grade scoring - by the culmination of points :

A = 105 -120 points

B = 90 - 104 points

C = 75 - 89 points

D = 60 - 74 points

F = < 60, please discuss with instructor
