Short biography
Dr Petkov has taught at university level since 1987 and
prior to that he worked in the IT industry for 9 years. He is a
Professor and Coordinator of BIS at Eastern Connecticut State University
since 2004. He is a senior associate editor for International Journal on
Information technology and the Systems Approach (IJITSA, IGI Global), a
co-editor in chief for International Journal on Computers, Signals and
Systems (IJCSS) and is on the editorial boards of Systems Research and
Behavioral Science (Wiley) and Scientific Inquiry. His papers have been
published in Decision Support Systems, The Journal of Systems and
Software, JITTA, Telecommunications Policy, Information Resources
Management Journal, Kybernetes, JITCAR, International Journal on
Technology Management, ISEDJ and elsewhere. His research interests and
publications are in the area of software engineering, MCDM, IT
management and organizational transformation through systems thinking. Dr Petkov has
consulted on organizational learning and IT evaluation and strategy.
