Biometrics in Connecticut

 

Accurate identification of individuals is perceived as a mechanism to promote safe access control, prevent fraudulent and other illegal activities, and facilitate correct medical treatment strategies.

 

Biometric technologies seem to offer a number of viable optiosn, but:

 

  • Which biometric technologies are appropriate?
  • What are the "Big Brother" dangers and tradeoffs?
  • How does this technology stream and its use in Connecticut look?
