STUDENT SUCCESS AND EXPERIENCE WITH THE BIS PROGRAM AT ECSU
Recent graduates of the Eastern BIS program are employed by United Technologies Corporation (IT security), Pratt and Whitney, St. Paul Travelers IT division, State of Connecticut IT Services, Three Rivers Community College, Manchester Community College, Veeder-Root Company, Hewitt Associates, Rhode Island Department of Transportation, US Army and a number of other organizations.

“The BIS program at ECSU differentiates from all other schools in the area.  I am a continuing education student in this program.  I've also been working over 20 years in IT and IT related positions for a large insurance company.   All of the BIS courses have helped me in my career - it was like 'just in time' on the job training. What differentiates ECSU, is that the concepts learned in class can be applied in the work place.  I'm more confident in my job today because of my participation in the program.”
Dawn Shane,
Retiree Markets,  Aetna, Class of 2007

I’ve really enjoyed my time spent at Eastern  and am grateful for the advice and counsel on school-related matters. I am proud to tell people that I am a BIS major from Eastern.”
