Regional DEM

Elevation data were digitized from an unpublished topographic map (McKer and Hintz, 1957) and used to generate input data files for DEM construction. Data were gridded at 10 m data spacing, with surface subsequently splined to a 5 grid node spacing. Some contour elevations for the alluvial flood plane surface were in error. As a result, elevations for the alluvial surface were estimated and are identified as a smoothed purple overlay.
