Eastern Connecticut State University proudly presents Take Me to the River All-Stars LIVE, an electrifying evening of funk, soul, and rhythm celebrating the rich musical traditions of New Orleans.

Featuring an all-star lineup of legendary musicians, this high-energy performance brings the spirit, culture, and sound of New Orleans to Eastern’s Fine Arts Instructional Center Concert Hall for one unforgettable night.

About the Performance

Take Me to the River All-Stars LIVE showcases some of the most celebrated artists from New Orleans’ iconic music scene, including Cyril Neville, Omari Neville, Big Chief Bo Dollis Jr., Jelly Joseph, Robert Mercurio, Joe Ashlar, Brian Richburg Jr., and filmmaker Martin Shore.

Audiences can expect an immersive, joy-filled experience—one that keeps the music moving and the energy high, while honoring the cultural roots and legacy of New Orleans music.

Music That Gives Back

This performance is also a benefit concert. All proceeds from ticket sales will support two vital community resources:

  • Covenant Soup Kitchen in Willimantic, providing meals and support to community members in need
  • Shawn’s Cupboard, Eastern’s on-campus food pantry, helping ensure students have access to nutritious food
