Eastern's Home Page

Academic Excellence. Engagement. Inclusion. Integrity. Empowerment. Social Responsibility. These are the core values shared by the faculty, students, staff and administration of Eastern Connecticut State University.  As Connecticut’s public liberal arts institution, Eastern provides a unique experience for students as they learn and develop as productive, engaged community leaders.  The Center for Community Engagement (CCE) provides students with opportunities to apply academic knowledge to real-life situations through service-learning and volunteer projects.  Whether students are interested in testing a career path, developing leadership skills, or having an impact in their world, the CCE has what is needed to connect the campus with the community.

Mission

The Center for Community Engagement supports the mission and vision of Eastern Connecticut State University by providing resources to build a culture of civic responsibility and engaged learning.  The CCE creates sustainable, effective and productive relationships with community partners that benefit students, faculty and the community.
