"Early Childhood Education has always been a passion of mine and by participating in the Timpani Toy Study I have learned so much about toys, research, and classroom management. I am very excited to take all that I have learned and be able to apply it to my very own classroom some day. Although I don't know what particular age group I am interested in, I just hope to make a difference in my student's lives and be a role model to people all across the globe." |

"I hope to become an Early Childhood Education teacher. I believe that not only understanding but participating in the research and literature surrounding this field is an important piece of being the best teacher I can be. My biggest dream is to someday become a child’s role model in the way that one of my previous teachers became for me." |

"Technology is very prominent in children's lives these days, so for our research we thought it will be interesting to see how children interact with iPads while the teachers are scaffolding the children. We will be observing and analyzing the data to better understand teacher scaffolding with the use of the iPad." |

"One of my roles at the CECE has been as a research assistant for Jeff Trawick-Smith's Block Play Study. I have been recording video, analyzing video, sitting in on teacher interviews, and conducting child interviews. My career goal is to be a teacher, but I'm still exploring which age group I like best. I have been interested in Special Education since I was a young girl, as I have grown up and interacted with special needs children my entire life. My cousin, who has Autism, personally inspires me to work with children like him." |

"I am very excited to have the opportunity to engage in research related to technology in education. This is an area that is continually growing and becoming a vital part of early childhood education. The research I will be involved in will look at the scaffolding interactions of teachers during preschool children's use of educational technology. I know that this position and experience will assist me in becoming a more skilled future educator." |

"I have always enjoyed working with children and have found a particular interest in the field of special education. Since I have been at ECSU, I have been involved in conducting research for a Spencer Foundation grant in mathematical play interactions between preschool-aged children and teachers, and will be continuing my position in research with the 2012 TIMPANI Toy Study. I am excited to continue my work with children and learn more so that I can make a real difference in the lives of children." |
