In-Person WinterSession 2010 Credit Course Schedule.

 

Courses are available to all students, degree and non-degree. Below you will find several ways to access credit course information however if you need additional assistance please contact our office at (860) 465-5125 or (860) 465-0206.


WinterSession 2010 Term

October 1  Registration for WinterSession begins.

Weeklong Dates

Weeklong Intensive courses are for highly motivated students who can devote an entire week to the course.  Classes meet for six days form 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

December 19-26 (No class on 12/24 or 12/25)   Saturday - Saturday

December 28-January 3

(No class on January 1)   Monday - Sunday
January 4-9 Monday - Saturday
January 11-16 Monday - Saturday
January 17-23 Sunday - Saturday

Traditional Session Dates

Monday, January 4 - Wednesday, January 20

Traditional session classes will meet Monday  - Friday for 12 class sessions beginning Monday, January 4. 

Session times are 9 a.m. -12:15 p.m., 1 - 4:15 p.m., or 6 - 9:15 p.m. 

*Thursday, January 21 and Friday, Janurary 22 are reserved for make up.

 

Policies and Procedures

Drop/Withdrawal Process

Three-Week Session: To drop a course prior to the start of classes and before the third class meeting, you must complete an Initial Drop Form and return it to the Registrar's Office. No grade will be recorded for dropped courses.  To withdraw from a course after the second class meeting, you must complete a Withdrawal from Course Form, which requires the instructor's signature, and return it to the Registrar's Office.  A grade of WP or WFwill be recorded on your academic record. 

Withdrawal from a course is not permitted during the last five (5) days of the course.  If you do not officially withdraw on or before the deadline, you will receive the applicable letter grade from the instructor. See deadline information under Refund Policy.

Special and Weeklong Sessions:  Drop deadline is prior to the second class meeting.

NOTE: Deadlines for refunds and for dropping and withdrawing will be strictly enforced.  

 

Refund Policy

Traditional Three Week Session

Traditional session Winter 2010 courses are refunded as follows:
100% refund prior to the second class meeting.
50% refund prior to the third class meeting.
No refund after the beginning of the third class meeting.

Course Withdrawal Deadline - January 12 (prior to the last five days of classes)

Weeklong Sessions:
100% refund prior to the second class meeting.
No refund after the beginning of the second class meeting.

Course Withdrawal Deadline - prior to the beginning of the fourth class meeting

What Type of Student and What is my Tuition Rate?

If a student is matriculated in a graduate program of study (degree seeking or non-degree), any course taken for credit or audit (whether graduate or undergraduate level) by the student will be billed at the graduate level.

If a student is matriculated in an undergraduate program of study, any course taken for credit or audit (whether graduate or undergraduate level) by the student will be billed at the undergraduate level.

If a student is not matriculated, but has been awarded an undergraduate degree, any course taken for credit or audit (whether graduate or undergraduate level) by the student will be billed at the graduate level.

If a student is not matriculated, and does not have an undergraduate degree, courses taken by a student for credit or audit can only be at the undergraduate level and, as such, will be billed at the undergraduate level.

How Many Credits Can a Student Take During WinterSession?

During WinterSession a student may enroll for a maximum of 4 credits.

In rare instances a student can be given permission by the Dean of the School of Cont. Education to enroll for up to a total of seven (7) credits for the entire winter session provided that

(a) the courses are offered sequentially; and

(b) the student completed the first course with a grade of B or higher, or the student’s overall GPA is in good academic standing (2.5).

Live E-Web Catalog (Viewing courses OPEN TO ALL)

With E-Web you can view live updated undergraduate course schedules including seat availability.

  1. Proceed to E-Web.
  2. Select the term you would like to view.
  3. Then click the "Submit" button.
  4. To view the entire Course Schedule, go to the 3rd selection down and click on "Both" from the "(O)pen/(C)lose" option; then scroll to the bottom and click "Class Search".
  5. To view specific courses, enter the 3 letter subject code and 3 digit course number; then select "Both" from the "(O)pen/(C)lose" option and proceed by pressing the [ENTER] key or click the "Class Search" button.
NOTE: In searching for courses on E-Web, before clicking "Class Search" it is important that you select “both” rather than “open". If there are seats in “Reserve (RSV)” in the course you are interested in, please call the School of Continuing Education for assistance: (860) 465-0206. You may need approval to enroll in this course.
