Health Requirements

All part time students applying for admission must fulfill the university's health requirements. Part Time students must submit evidence of measles (rubeola), German measles (rubella), and the tuberculosis risk assessment. All part time students need to complete the Tuberculosis Risk Assessment and provide documentation of TB risk.  Part time students will need to fill out and return this form to the health services. Students who fail to comply with this mandate will not be allowed to register for courses.

EasternOnline registration fee example:

One three credit course ($340 x 3 + $50) at the in-state undergraduate level = $1070. One three credit course ($428 X 3 + $50) at the in-state graduate level = $1334.

 

Eastern Online Courses are open to all students. Additional charges pertain, please see below. If you have registered for Eastern courses before, then you can register online. If you are new to Eastern, you must register by fax or mail the first time.

PAYMENT

Fees must be paid in full at time of registration. Make checks payable to Eastern Connecticut State University. A fee of $25 will be charged for any checks that are not honored by banks.

CREDIT CARD USE

Eastern Connecticut State University accepts Discover, VISA, and MasterCard. Credit cards may be used for all forms of registration. Written permission of the cardholder is required for a second party to use a credit card for registration.

 

OUTSTANDING CHARGES

Students who owe money from a previous semester must pay the outstanding amount before registering.

STUDENT EMAIL ACCOUNT

Every registered student has an Eastern email account. Eastern expects you to access your easternct.edu account-it is the official way for the University to communicate with you.

 


Refund Policy and Fees

Refund Policy for EasternOnline courses

EasternOnline Tuition Refund Policy for Summer:

  • 100% refund through the first week of the class ending on the first Saturday after the course starts.
  • 50% refund through the third week of class (Fall semester only) ending on the third Saturday after the course starts.

Please note: No other refund options are available. Reimbursements may take up to one month to be processed. The $50 per course online registration fee is non-refundable.

Refund Policy for In-Person Campus courses

Full-term courses are refunded as follows:

  • 100% refund through the first week (or 3 hours) of classes.
  • 50% refund through the second and third weeks (or 9 hours) of class.
  • No refund after the third week (or 9 hours) of class.

Less than full term courses are refunded as follows:

  • 100% refund prior to the second class meeting.
  • 50% refund prior to the third class meeting.
  • No refund after the beginning of the third class meeting.

Special and weeklong sessions:

  • 100% refund prior to the second class meeting.
  • No refund after the beginning of the second class meeting.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

SWK 344 : Social Work with Substance Abuse Issues

Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, Connecticut is approved to issue 4.5 CEUs by the Connecticut Certification Board, Inc. for this college course.

SWK 344 is an examination of the causes, medical aspects, family dynamics, cross-cultural issues and treatment modalities of alcohol and drug abuse. The course is designed for both undergraduate students and human service professionals in mind. This course is designed to provide students with the fundamentals for understanding the use and abuse of alcohol and other drugs, and a comparative overview of prevailing treatment models. This information will encompass policies for the treatment and control of alcohol and other drugs, an examination of the epidemiology and basic pharmacology of substance use. The course emphasizes a heterogeneous view of substance abuse and treatment, and is congruent with the bio/psycho/social/spiritual model of social work practice utilizing a strengths perspective.

There is an additional fee for the 4.5 CEUs of $150 and a form has to be filled out and submitted.

This 3 credit college course is also offered on a regular basis as an EasternOnline course in the Summer and Winter terms.
