What are you doing during your Spring Break 2017?
Sitting on the couch and watching TV?
Why not do something meaningful and amazing?
Enjoy the wonder of New York City while engaging in community service!
The Center for Community Engagement and Campus Ministry are collaborating with the Youth Service Opportunities Project (YSOP) to offer an Alternative Spring Break Trip to New York City. The YSOP is a leader in providing quality service-learning experiences in metropolitan areas. Through their programs, each year over 4,000 volunteers work with more than 500,000 people experiencing hunger and homelessness. Included in these numbers are Rev. Rick Haverly and the volunteers he brings from the Windham Community to soup kitchens around New York City as well as the many people they were involved with during their involvement there. You could be part of this inspiring group of people and have an eye-opening experience too!
This unforgettable trip is during Spring Break from Sunday, March 12 to Friday, March 17. The cost is $505, which includes a tee-shirt, housing, some meals, transportation, and a Broadway Show! Spots are limited to 15, so make sure to get your $150 deposit in before October 28, 2016!
Info Sessions in Student Center 223 on Tuesday, September 20 at 4:00 pm and Wednesday, September 21 at 3:00 pm; or contact Nancy Brennan at firstname.lastname@example.org or Rev. Rick Haverly at email@example.com. While each person will be responsible for their own costs, joint fundraising opportunities will be discussed once the group has been picked.
