The Office of Career Services provides two ways for you to evaluate yourself when choosing a major and career path, listed below.
Option 1 - DISCOVER®:

DISCOVER® is Eastern's comprehensive online assessment tool. As a complete Career Planning Program, DISCOVER® allows:
The ability to explore your unique strengths and weaknesses through explorations of likes, interests and talents.
Based on famous psychologist John Holland's Code, DISCOVER® assesses you based on 6 core personality traits: Artistic, Social, Realistic, Conventional, Investigative and Enterprising.
Creates individualized careers suggestions that fit your unique code.
Determines a major based on educational, career, and life goals.
All new users please first obtain a token (unique user ID) from Career Services.
Option 2 - Use the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI):
The MBTI is a self-scorable pen and paper assessment that you would need to request from our office. Meet with a Career Counselor to interpret any self-assessment results, to discuss which major(s) might be a good fit for you, and to formulate an action plan.
