DISCOVER® is Eastern's comprehensive online assessment tool. As a complete Career Planning Program, DISCOVER® allows:

    • The ability to explore your unique strengths and weaknesses through explorations of likes, interests and talents.

    • Based on famous psychologist John Holland's Code, DISCOVER® assesses you based on 6 core personality traits:
Artistic, Social, Realistic, Conventional, Investigative and Enterprising.

    • Creates individualized careers suggestions that fit your unique code.

    • Determines a major based on educational, career, and life goals.

All new users please first obtain a token (unique user ID) from Career Services.

Option 2 - Use the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI):

The MBTI is a self-scorable pen and paper assessment that you would need to request from our office. Meet with a Career Counselor to interpret any self-assessment results, to discuss which major(s) might be a good fit for you, and to formulate an action plan.

To set up an appointment, call 860.465.4559 or stop by our office in Wood Support Services, Top Floor.
