Connecting with Students

We offer two all-majors career and internship fairs each year.  View information on our most current fair on our Career Fairs page.
Eastern offers a wide range of social and educational activities outside of the classroom. Learn more about the many clubs and organizations sponsored on the Eastern campus here. Looking to speak with one of our clubs or organizations?  Call our office at 860-465-4559, we’ll be happy to assist you.
An internship is a career-related work experience generally lasting one semester in the fall spring or summer.  They should be a monitored learning experience for the student, with responsibilities appropriate to the student’s educational level and related to their field of study. In many cases they are unpaid, with students earning academic credit for work performed.

A Co-op is a paid internship which provides students with a structured and progressive work experience. Employers gain qualified and motivated temporary employees for short term projects or longer term work. Students gain valuable career-related work experience to enhance their marketability in a challenging economy. Many students look to complete Co-op experiences over the summer, though some students choose to alternate employment with academic semesters at Eastern.  Contact the Center for Internships and Career Development at (860) 465-4559 for more information
