Accounting Career Fair
The Accounting Career Fair will be held on Thursday October 6th,
2011 from 1:00-5:00pm in the Betty Tipton Room located in the
Student Center.
Connecticut’s SBIR Business Plan Poster Competition
Key Dates: Oct 17 – ECSU, Oct 20 – CCSU, Nov 17 – State Championship ECSU
If you are interested in innovation and starting a business, here are the events for you! Their focus is to enable Connecticut students (ECSU, CCSU, UConn, etc.) with a mind for innovation and starting a business to:
A) Compete for prize money and potential grants and funding,
B) Demonstrate business capabilities and creative ideas to professionals and funders, and
C) Connect with potential employers, managers, professionals, entrepreneurs, as well as investors and financing agencies.

November 17th, 2011 BEST Fest
The BEST Fest is back!! On
Thursday November 17th (with a snow date of
Friday November 18th) Eastern will hold The Fall 2011 BEST-FEST
(Business Experiential Skills & Technology Festival) from 2:00 to
5:30pm in the Betty Tipton Room of Eastern Connecticut State
University's Student Center. At the BEST-FEST, students from ECSU,
UCONN, CCSU, and multiple community colleges will be exhibiting
experiential learning projects for competing for prizes in different
categories.
The BEST-FEST on November 17 is being done in
conjunction with the November 2011 Connecticut Innovation Connections
Event (sponsored by Connecticut Technology Council and SBIR) and the
Allied Health Technology Workforce's Health Information Technology
Career Path Initiative.
Once again this is another great opportunity for students to
network with potential employers, and provide students feedback on
their projects and potentially land an internship, co-op or career
position.
