Association of Information Technology Professionals
The ECSU Association of IT Professionals Student Chapter’s mission is to allow students interested in Business Information Systems, Computer Science and Business to work in agile team environments for the betterment of community non-profit organizations. Student members have the opportunity to gain hands on information with database and website development, computer hardware installation, systems and business analysis concepts, as well as many other applied technology and business skills. In addition, with support from former alumni, Business Department faculty ECSU, and our sponsor CIGNA, members of AITP have the opportunity to attend national competitions, visit numerous companies and listen to guest speakers who are experts in their fields of study.

Current members and Eastern Alumni have used their experience in AITP to help them land internships and jobs at companies such as Aetna, CIGNA, General Dynamics, Nerac, Northeast Utilities, Pfizer, Phoenix, Travelers, UTC, regional hospitals and health tech-firms, plus numerous other businesses, nonprofits and new startups.
