Ron Lowy started his career as a helper in a structural steel fabricating plant. Fifteen years later, he was the co-owner and CEO of
Grove International Steel, an American Petroleum Institute approved manufacturer of pumping rods for the oil industry. This company had
$15 million in sales in its first year and employed over 135 people. In 1979, the company was sold and he returned to college to
complete his undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Dr Lowy is a member of several management associations and he recently published a new management book Paint to Win, which
incorporates creativity into the management equation.
Currently I am teaching primarily in the Graduate Program and at senior level of the undergraduate program. Courses taught include
Organization Theory, E-Business, and the Capstone.
My current research focuses on new ways to include creativity into strategy formulation and implementation. In addition, I am currently
focusing on the impact of electronic business solutions to organizational theory and strategic planning.
