Jessica Lane returns to the coaching staff as an assistant to head coach Christine Hutchison.

A native of South Windsor, Lane played four seasons of field hockey at Providence College (2005-08), earning first-team All-Northeast Region, second-team All-Big East and Big East Tournament all-tournament honors in each of her final two seasons.

Lane helped the Friars to winning seasons and berths in the Big East Tournament in each of her last three seasons and to a four-year overall record of 50-34 under head coach Diane Madl. Coming off a 6-13 record in Lane's first year in 2005, Providence won 18 of 22 matches in 2006 and advanced to the second round of the Big East Tournament.

As a team captain in 2008, Lane was selected among 38 players nationwide -- one of only ten from New England -- to the NFHCA Senior All-Star Game at Louisville, Ky.

As a junior, Lane ranked third nationally in assists per game and topped the Big East with a total of 18.

Lane currently ranks seventh all-time at Providence in assists (27) and among the top 30 in points (43).

Lane enjoyed celebrated field hockey and lacrosse careers at South Windsor High School,  competing at National Futures tournaments in field hockey and earning All-America honors in lacrosse twice anc oompiling All-State honors a total of five times in those two sports.

At Providence, Lane earned a B.S. Degree in Marketing and last May completed her Master's Degree in Organizational Management from Misericordia University (PA).
