Ryan Wilde enters his fourth season at Eastern as the associate head coach under head coach Bill Geitner.

Prior to his arrival at Eastern, Wilde was an assistant coach last season at Wesleyan University and at Norwich University for two seasons prior to that.

As an undergraduate, Wilde was a four-year letterwinner at the guard position at Springfield College.

In his first season at Norwich, he helped lead the Cadets to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament championship, and to their first-ever NCAA tournament victory, 82-70, over Elms College. At Norwich, the team qualified for the conference tournament both seasons, and posted a 34-20 record with two conference tournament appearances.At Springfield, Wilde was a two-time team captain who averaged 4.7 points in 69 career games, and shot 40.8 percent from three-point range and 85.3 percent from the foul line. He ranks fourth all-time at Springfield in three-point field goal percentage, ninth in three-pointers made (78) and 11th in three-point attempts (191). As a junior, he shot 45.6 percent from three-point range (52-for-114) and 95.7 percent from the foul line (22-for-23). In his career, the team qualified forthe New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) twice. In his senior season, the Pride qualified for the NCAA Division III tournament and won a first-round home contest against Norwich.

A native of Willington, Wilde played four seasons of basketball under Eastern Hall of Famer Ron Pires at E.O. Smith High School, earning first-team All-CCC East Division honors as a senior.
