Third-year member of the program and one of eight returning first-year varsity letterwinners from last year... missed the spring of 2006 following back surgery after receving a sub-varsity letter as a freshman in 2005… one of three returning pitchers to earn a first varsity letter last year, along with James Kukucka and Jake Slate…

COACH HOLOWATY: "Mike pitched in a role situation last year and hopefully he will give us some quality innings this year."

LAST YEAR: Started two of the seven games in which he appeared, combining with Shawn Gilblair on the team’s only shutout April 28 against visiting UMass Dartmouth… was not charged with a run in three of his outings… came out of the bullpen to pitch on scoreless inning in his debut in California… made his first start March 28 in the second home game of the year in a 4-3, 10 inning victory over Manhattanville…tossed a season-high six innings, giving up only two earned runs on four hits but did not figure in the decision… in that game, pitched five hitless innings after surrendering two runs on three hits in the first, and departed in a tie game after giving up a leadoff double in the seventh…

HIGH SCHOOL: Three year starter for the baseball team… named team MVP as a junior and defensive player of the year as a senior…participated in the senior all-star game in 2004…
