Coach Holowaty: “Matt is a freshman who last fall in a scrimmage had a great outing with a very impressive slider.  We hope that he can keep developing and be one of our pitchers in the future, but that depends on him and if he keeps developing.”

High School: Played infield and pitched for four years in baseball… All-State, all-conference and CHSCA All-Star Game selections as a senior… member of conference title teams in each of his last two seasons…

Favorite aspect of Eastern:­­ The size of the campus. Everything about it is convenient because it’s not too big but not too small.

Favorite aspect of my sport: Anything can happen at anytime. You never know what to expect.

Personal goal for the season: Work on a more affective off-speed pitch.
