Coach Holowaty:“What can you say about Jimmy Schult? He’s what you preach in college sports: great student-athlete and a vicious competitor -- no matter what he does, whether it’s in a classroom or on the field. He is one of our captains and our No. 1 pitcher, very productive, and will hit for us. He’s been our No. 3 hitter for three years now.”

High School : Three year starter for the baseball team… named all-county in 2006 and 2007, all-league, all-area and all-section honorable mention in 2007… named team captain his final two seasons… a high honor student who was a scholar-athlete all four years of high school… also a three-time academic all-conference selection…

Other: Extensive summer wood bat baseball resume includes 2009 and ‘10 in the New England College Baseball League (NECBL), and 2007 and ’08 with the New Rochelle Robins of the Westchester Baseball Association… pitched and played outfield in the NECBL with the North Shore Navigators in 2009 and the Sanford Mainers in 2010… with Sanford, received the Christopher Ashmos 10th Player Award and was the starting rightfielder and cleanup hitter in the NECBL All-Star Game for the East Team which defeated the West,10-0… helped the Mainers reach the NECBL playoffs… during the regular season, led the team with a .333 batting average (35-for-105) … on the mound, was 2-2 with a 4.15 ERA in 30 1/3 innings… at Sanford, played under former Eastern pitching coach Ron Isler… was an all-star alternate with North Shore… won the WBA championship with New Rochelle in 2007… also reached the AAU World Series in 2004 with the Hudson Valley Bombers and in 2005 with the New York Hurricanes…
