COACH HOLOWATY: "Travis can play all infield positions and has probably the best hands on the team. He makes our team much stronger, depth-wise.If he improves his hitting, he will be an integral part of our team."

Entering 2008: Enrolled at Eastern in the spring of 2007 after one semester at Division I University of New Hampshire, where heretained four years of eligibility… can play all three infield positions… among eight returning first-year letterwinners and along with John Parke, the only returning player to earn a first varsity letter as a ‘true’ freshman last year… in limited at-bats, is third among active players in career batting avg. (.342) and has handled 31 defensive chances without an error…

 

 LAST YEAR: Started ten of the 16 games in which he appeared – at second and third base… had hits in seven games, four times collecting at least two…. made his collegiate debut in the third game of the year… picked up hits in his first three at-bats against the University of La Verne March 17, when he started at second base and batted ninth… reached safely four times with three more hits and a walk in his second start four days later against the University of Chicago… batting second in the order and playing second base in that game, had hits and a walk in his final three at-bats… drove in a run and scored once in each of those games… did not appear in post-season play… 

HIGH SCHOOL: Participated in baseball, soccer, basketball, and swimming… in baseball, named a league all-star as a junior and senior, named team MVP as a junior, earned all-state honors as a senior, named to the Hartford Courant All State Team as a senior…helped lead his team to back to back league championships as a junior and senior… was a member of the National Honors Society, earned an award for excellence in math, named a league scholar athlete… senior captain for the baseball and soccer teams…

OTHER: Participated in American Legion baseball…
