Enrolled at Eastern in the fall of 2012 after one year at Keene State College… 

 

Coach Holowaty: "Chuck was our starting catcher but broke his left pinky in pre-season and is out for three weeks. He is a very fine addition to our program.He has a great attitude and is a great leader."

 

High School: In baseball, four-year letterwinner and three-year starter… named Class “S” All-State as a junior in 2010 and all-conference as a junior and senior… two-year captain… team MVP as a junior and conference MVP as a a senior… National Honor Society… attended Enrico Fermi as a freshman… 

 

Previous School: Appeared in 34 games with 32 starts as a position player and in three games out of the bullpen as a pitcher for Keene State in the spring of 2012… helped Owls to a 32-15 overall record (10-4 LEC) and at-large selection to the NCAA regional tournament at the Eastern Baseball Stadium… fielded .959 on 145 chances and batted .218 (26-for-119) with 25 RBI and 18 runs… had season-highs of three hits and three RBI in the first game of a March 31 doubleheader at Western Connecticut… threw out five of 23 baserunners… allowed one single and one walk with two hit batters in 2 2/3 relief innings… 

 

Other: Plays each summer in the Windsor Locks Post 36 American Legion program…
